Orange Juice
Well it turns out that Steven Daly’s former band Orange Juice won their little Mojo award after all—hopefully this will be the last time we hear about his musical “history” on this site. According to Steven the other highlight of the event—which was attended by the likes of Jimmy Page, Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr and Steve Cropper—was when John Lydon got on stage to pick up some kind of lifetime achievement award and launched into an addled tirade against the entire music business for suppressing his genius all this years. The Sex Pistols’ formerly proud “Irish” frontman then proceeded to call England “the best country in the world”—at which point the red mist descended. “Putting aside Lydon’s utter hypocrisy, you just do not flirt with English nationalism nowadays,” says the Scottish ex-pat. “It’s been completely hijacked by the the violent, far-right scum who follow England’s national football team. “So I found myself jumping up and shouting ‘FUCK YOUR ENGLAND!’ Cue nervous silence all round. “I’m not proud of my outburst,” Daly confesses. “Actually, yes, I am.”

Another fantabulous Dangerous Minds Radio Hour from Nate Cimmino. These radio shows from this guy turn up here almost like an abandoned child left in a basket on our digital doorstep. Richard Metzger claims to have met Mr. Cimmino once, and not even in a past life. It’s disturbing, but they’re so good.
So, once again, Dangerous Minds invites you for another aural excursion with our host, Nate Cimmino, who as best we can tell is wandering around blissfully, sending this offering to us while he was on vacation.

As you will detect from his charming accent, DMRH debutant Steven Daly isn’t from around these parts: He’s from Glasgow, although these days he lives in New York’s allegedly fashionable outer borough of Brooklyn and works as a contributing editor for Vanity Fair magazine.
It’s the time of the year many folk think of vacation. Join Dangerous Mind’s host Nate Cimmino for a different vacation trip (note from Nate: As I was preparing this, my mom passed away. At first, I thought this was simply about space travel, but came to realize it was literally about passing from one realm to another. So this is dedicated to my mom, and my Dad, who came from the beyond to get her. We’re not ever alone—Elizabeth Ruth Cimmino (May 2, 1924-June 23, 2011). Although there’s nothing here she would actually listen to, she’d have wanted me to finish this edition, and always allowed me my own expression.)
As If by wizardry, you have now found yourself deposited in the virtual trailer park that is Dangerous Minds, sitting in front of the Double Wide inhabitatified by Nate Cimmino or a reasonable facsimile thereof.
Once again Dangerous Minds has digitized Nate Cimmino for your conspicuous consumption. Sounds kind of barbaric, doesn’t it? For the purpose of rumination, this offering was conceived in two parts. The Sacred and The Profane. And, they are completely interchangeable, much as in life, so you may do what thou wilt with them.
