Recently there has been an explosion of new films spreading alternative ideas. More and more films are trying to open peoples eyes to new ways of living out lives, new paradigms. In this episode of Evolver the Podcast we have a couple of these eye-opening filmmakers.

First we have an interview by Jonathan Talat Phillips with Jonas Elrod. Jonas has been in the film industry for a number of years working with many big names. He had an experience where he “woke up” to how amazing and unknown the universe, and life really is. He recently released a film titled “Wake Up”. You can learn more about it at his website: http://wakeupthefilm.com/.

Then I interviewed Virginia Paris, from Evolver Asheville. Virginia has her own radio show called Systemic Effect, you can find it streaming on www.mainfmm.org. She also runs an intuitive reading website www.trickstergoddess.com. You can learn more about Evolver Asheville events by going on Evolver.net and joining the group.

Last we had Virginia Jester interviewing Starhawk. Starhawk has recently released a film called “Permaculture: the Growing Edge”. Starhawk also has a Evolver intensive coming up on her last book “The Fifth Sacred Thing”. You can learn more about the Evolver intensive at www.realitysandwich.com and www.evolver.net. Virginia Jester also hosts her own podcast called “The Empress Project”, her most recent interview is with Jonathan Talat Phillips talking about a lot of his work including Evolver and outside of Evolver.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Evolver the Podcast. In this episode we have interviews with Graham Hancock, bestselling author of Fingerprints of the Gods, the Sign and the Seal, Supernatural, and most recently Entangled. After that we interview Robin Gunkel who is a regional coordinator for Evolver Baltimore. Then we have Erin Shaw from Evolver LA interviewing Daniel Pinchbeck, co-founder of Evolver, and bestselling author of Breaking Open the Head, 2012 the Return of Quetzalcoatl, and most recently Notes from the Edge Times.

Graham Hancock has embarked on his first journey of fiction with his most recent novel Entangled. Entangled follows the path of two different young women battling evil together across 24 thousand years of time and space. It is a nonstop action story that explores ideas of consciousness, ancient man, neanderthals and much more. We discussed what it was that inspired him into writing this book, along with some of the amazing, interesting research that he did for it. You can learn more about Graham at his website www.grahamhancock.com.

Robin Gunkel has a number of amazing things going on in Evolver Baltimore. It starts with the amazing transformative experience of Evolver Baltimore Spores, and then branches out into a number of amazing projects such as the Bnote, an alternative currency that Evolver Baltimore has just helped to launch. In the interview we discuss both of these things and also Robin’s personal journey as to how she got involved with Evolver. You can learn more about the Bnote at http://baltimoregreencurrency.org. You can also check out a couple of the spaces they hold these amazing spores. http://www.breathebooks.com/
http://baltimoreyogavillage.com/cms/

Finally Erin Shaw interviewed Daniel Pinchbeck. They discussed some of Daniel’s visionary ideas on the turning of the new age, and some of the amazing things going on in the world today to help usher in this change. I encourage all of you to check out Daniel’s new book Notes from the Edge Times and get more closely acquainted with one of the more innovative intelligent thinkers of our time.

I would also like to mention that all of the music in this podcast is from Michael Larson a.k.a. Eyedea. Michael is one of the most inspirational eye opening lyricists ever. He passed away on October 16th 2010 and it was a very sad day. I would love for everyone to actually take the time and listen to his amazing words in each of the songs placed in the podcast and then go out and check out more of his awesome music.

Thank you all for listening, and I look forward to next time.

Remember, It’s our world to change.

Evolver the Podcast: Sacred Psychedelics and Their Transformative Power

In this episode we have discussions with two amazing individuals about their journey and transformation with Psychedelics.

First up we have Evolver co-founder Jonathan Talat Phillips interviewing Reality Sandwich contributor Adam Elenbaas about his new book, Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest. Adam discusses his journey from being a “hell-damning” fundamentalist Christian to recovering from drug addiction and healing himself and his family line through ayahuasca ceremonies in the Amazon. He shares his encounters with mystical beings and inter-dimensional creatures during his adventures with this shamanic brew, as well as his thoughts on why Jesus was the social activist version of the Buddha, how there is nothing to fear in the entire cosmos, and ways we might redeem modern Christianity.

Next up I interviewed Isabella Stoloff who is the Evolver Regional coordinator for Evolver Orange County. She is also a practicing Shaman and heads up the Orange County Healing Center. She tells a little about how she came to be involved with Evolver through her Shamanic work in the Amazon. In this interview she mentions a Love meditation that she did at the Evolver Long Beach Love Spore and that was actually captured on video and is up on youtube.com, you will find the link below.

Finally we have another amazing story of transformation with Jennifer Palmer interviewing Charles Shaw talking about his journey, and how he had been “paroled from hell”. Charles has been a long time contributor with Reality Sandwich, he has also spoken at a number of different Evolver Spores. Currently his book “Exile Nation: Drugs, Prisons, Politics & Spirituality” is being released chapter by chapter on Reality Sandwich, the most recent installation was chapter 12. Charles is also about to kick off his “Light and Shadow: Exploring Personal & Cultural Transformation” tour. The tour will be visiting over thirty cities and will feature both Charles Shaw and Michael Garfield. While on the road Charles will be shooting for his upcoming documentary project “Unheard Voices”. Enjoy the interview and check out everything that Charles is up to.

I’m happy to announce that we’ve joined the Alterati family of podcasts, which I’m very excited about. I also want to thank everyone that helps make things like this possible, such as the Evolver Social Movement, and thanks to Inner Traditions for sponsoring this month. This is such an amazing, powerful and inspiring episode, I think you will all enjoy it very much.

This is my favorite episode we’ve done so far. We have three amazing interviews. The first is an interview with Jonathan Talat Phillips interviewing Gary Lachman the rockstar (Guitarist for Blondie) turned occult author. The focus of this interview is to discuss Gary’s new book Jung the Mystic.

The next interview is a conversation between me and Baza Novic, one of the regional coordinators from Evolver LA. We talked about his involvement with Evolver and how it has been driven by his esoteric practice. The Interview is opened with a meditation from Baza.

Last we have an interview with Raymond Wiley, that was conducted by Jennifer Palmer. This was a real treat for me. A couple years ago when I first got into the counter culture and the occult my sort of crash course was Raymond’s podcast Out There Radio, which I was introduced to from the first Disinformation podcast that he did, and it’s been a crazy ride every since. It was awesome to be able to do a podcast with Raymond. This interview is a fantastic conversation between Jennifer and Raymond about the “occult” in a very broad way. Raymond also discusses the importance he feels there is in us recognizing the rich history of the Western Esoteric practice. If you would like to listen to more of Raymond like I mentioned he has a 50 episode series called “Out There Radio” and he is also doing the Disinformation podcasts. Check them out!

I hope you all enjoy listening to this podcast as much as I enjoyed making it. It was definitely an adventure getting this one made. If anyone would like to contact me you can message me on Evolver as Chris Hopkins, message me on Facebook as Evolver Sacramento, or just email me Chris@Barbelithlives.com.
In this episode we have an interview with Jennifer Palmer Reality Sandwich’s news editor, and Evolver’s community director. We had a nice discussion about Evolver Social Movement. We talked about a lot of things Evolver has already done and things that we are moving towards. I also interviewed Tony Damico from Evolver Long Beach. Tony is doing a lot of amazing things with his community down in Long Beach, one of which is he has launched a time bank, which we discuss in the podcast. And finally Jonathan Phillips has jumped on board as an interviewer for the podcast. Jonathan is the director of Evolver and he does a ton of great work for us. Jonathan on this episode has interviewed Richard Smolley about his recently re-released book “The Essential Nostradamus”. Richard is a very knowledgeable scholar on the topic. They had a fantastic informative conversation complete with a call out for a way we could better the world. There is some wonderful music in this episode. Tony Damico gave us one of his own songs to use “The Laws of Nature” and then we wrap it all up with a song from Animal Collective called “People”. I hope you all enjoy this episode and all the changes we have made to the format since the last. I love it and I think you will too.

If you need to contact me about anything, even to just let me know what you thought, and I love feedback, email me at thenamesjimjones@yahoo.com, or message me on facebook at Evolver Sacramento, and you can also message me on evolver.net as Chris Hopkins. I look forward to hearing from you all.

If you would like to contact Tony Damico you can email him at lbevolver@gmail.com.
