I too never liked the percentage metaphors popular to the occupy movement, nor did I identify with being labeled as part of a victimized majority. It was a clever tactic towards divide and conquer, where people choosing it as a rally call were aligning with the notion of inequality like workers and drones in a hive. The privileged are not inherently greater on some basic biological level.
I would prefer to see a ’100%’ meme. We are all part of this project and the desired change isn’t to be accomplished by reducing those on a higher level. Everyone has a role in the solution; promote working together rather than aligning against./
