Week in Review – Mail!

in Week In Review

2008-10-03_222108.pngWow. Let’s stay focused. The headlines are crazy, I told you it was coming… but don’t lose sight of the troubling undercurrents totally unrelated to the major headlines! Before we go there, though, I’ve been getting some interesting mail as of late, books, music, magazines – all for review – and those reviews are coming.

At this moment I’m listening to Two Headed Monster, the latest CD from the strange nexus-dreamspace that is Collide – a brilliant auditory transcendenance of eerie dance and industrial soundscape crawling with kaRIN’s vibratory vocals. Then there’s Another Mirror, a quarterly journal from Gammon House Publishing and WE GO LIQUID by Christian TeBordo, published by Im*Pe*Tus Press – all of which I’ve received in the last few days, and all of which I will review in detail soon, either before or after my upcoming trip to Portland.

Speaking of mail, the McCain camp has not seen fit to send this editor of a highly influential blog site a single speck of marketing – however the Obama/Biden sticker from MoveOn.org arrived today. Alterati readers, take that for what it’s worth. Remember, in the universe next door the Huckabee/Paul campaign is kicking the living shit out of the Clinton/Obama ticket. What goes around comes around, and I’m more interested in the news that’s flying under the radar while everyone’s attention is elsewhere – you know, weird shit, like the pirates who hijacked that arms shipment getting weird sicknesses and dying out in the ocean:2008-10-02_195548.png
