I would be interested to read more of your analysis of Foucault, especially re: his views on discourse as it pertains to sexuality, but the thoughts on vicarious violence ring true for my own observations.

obviously there are important ethical distinctions between mutually consenting acts among adults in private, voluntary acts of pornography, coerced sex and out-of-control torture situations (that also happen to be sexual)
but,
how is it that one obtains psychological numbness to certain stimuli, and for what reasons?

I don&#039;t think, however, laughing at the horrifying gives us any power to remove it - only to cope, which may be all that we in our limited powers can do.</description>
