The Carrot & The Stick

I’ve always said: the best way to involve people in politics is to provide incentive.
It seems I’ve found a candidate who agrees with me. Shame she’s Belgian, we could use more of this on the other side of the pond.

Moving beyond an earlier offer of 400,000 jobs, Belgian senatorial candidate
“Tania Derveaux”
is promising 40,000 blowjobs as well. All you have to do
is sign the dotted line.

This world-blow job tour will take almost two years, during which she will give
a somewhat staggering eighty blow jobs a day.

I will admit, when I first heard about this, I figured it was a joke. I’m still not
completely convinced. But the
TOS on the sign up page is surprisingly… specific.

For example:

It’s almost like they’ve thought this through. It’s almost like they’re for real.
Whether this is farce or not, it’s effective marketing. Most political talking heads
use the stick, it’d be a nice turn to see the carrot used a bit more frequently.

Have I personally signed up? No, not as of yet. My reasoning is straightforward enough.
Despite the condom requirement, supposing this is for real, 40,000 is a lot of blow jobs.
One may offer some legitimate medical concerns.

On the other hand, after if not before 40,000 blow jobs, one has to assume she knows
what she’s doing.
