Fact is that the “origin” doesn’t make any difference ; naming mass marketing or secret conspiracy is simply blaming something for the facts : ie wasting the time and thoughts on a secondary matter, which may precisely be part of the “strategy” or “process”. Getting out of the logic of being a victim of such process is the first step that may eventually lead to answers to this kind of questions (still secondary, not goals).

I like your post. The older I get the less I think things are about conspiracy and the more they are about unintended consequences and mass marketing. Put that together with a culture continually learning about the functions of the brain and how to use that knowledge to sell you things.

Ya know, I don’t own a tv, wouldn’t have voted for McCain, but you kind of have to admit that Guitarzan has a point. And, at the same time I wonder, if the people who voted for President Obama just want a change so badly that they aren’t stopping to realize he actually isn’t doing all that much. I’m sorry Jenna, but I have to say he’s right. I wouldn’t say this just because it’s Barack Obama, but I’m talking about any & all politicians. How did Bush get voted into office? Same deal. I don’t watch TV, especially not Fox News or any of the other major news networks, I do however have the internet & I do use it, and I also like to read. I still have no fucking clue why this Obama guy got the Peace Prize. Needless to say, it does not matter who you vote for, they’re all using the 23 tools, and they’re all fucking with us because they can.
